Narrow Gauge at Work Number 13 Hungarian Narrow Gauge in Focus Pt 2

Narrow Gauge at Work Number 13 Hungarian Narrow Gauge in Focus Pt 2

A DVD looking at variety of Hungarian narrow gauge railways, a state operated former agriculture line, some ex-forestry lines, and some industrial narrow gauge railways.

At Balatonfenyves the former Agricultural Railway was still operating over 3 branches when this DVD was filmed in 2002. An industrial railway transporting kaolin at Felsöpetény is seen in operation including both a C50 and a battery loco in operation. A brief visit is made to the forestry railways at Gemenc and at Mesztegnyö where passenger trains now for the bulk of the traffic. A large brickworks at Törökszentmiklós has a network of 500mm gauge lines, and small loco is seen moving bricks from the drying sheds to the kilns. The Budapest Children's Railway at the Hüvösvölgy terminus is visited, and also the short railway at Gyönygös, operated by the MK48 locos. Finally a further look at the timber traffic on the Csömödér Forestry Railway reprises the main feature on the first Hungary DVD. Other locations are seen during the course of the DVD.

All footage was taken in May 2002

ALL profits go to the New Somerset and Dorset Railway.

I've changed the format of the site once past the headings and sub-headings, so that stamps are listed in a grid format which hopefully will make it easier to view!

Join the S&D Collectables FACEBOOK group where special offers, kiloware etc will be announced BEFORE going to the website!

We welcome wants lists as we have huge amounts of stock not yet listed! 99% of our material is yet to be listed.

We also welcome counter offers on most of the material listed - if you need something but would rather pay a little less please email!

We are also happy to try to make up kiloware to order not currently listed, by country, region or theme.

Please just ask! Tel Steve on 0117 3738973 or email leysiner@aol.com

We are starting a series of COUNTRY stamp blogs, which can be accessed via our country blogs page

The latest news on our most popular line - 9kg GB unsorted kiloware

Blog post - how your box is made up!

July 2010 pick up has now been made and these have now been despatched.

Unfortunately my order was short by 60kg so the two customers who preordered but have not yet paid will not now be able to receive any lots from this pick up as all have been sold on a first come first served basis.

There is now just ONE 9kg lot on eBay, which finishes this evening (23/7/10) To view click this link

September 2010 pick up will be around the middle to end of the month. I am hoping that from then I'll no longer have to offer pre-ordering and that material should be regularly available for immediate delivery.

Please see my 'new items listed' feature which allows regular visitors to see what's been added daily over the previous month. This will allow you to get those elusive items first!

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE US TO LIST NEXT?? We have literally hundreds of collections etc just waiting to be added to this site. Let us know your own collecting interests (areas, countries, themes etc) and we'll make sure they go to the front of the listing queue - no obligation of course!! Please email us at leysiner@aol.com

DO YOU HAVE STAMPS FOR SALE? - check out our new BUYING page!

Stamplift -

I started stamp dealing at school at about the age of 13. That's now 40 years ago! After leaving school I dealt part time for many years. In 1997 I became finance director at Jobsite UK which introduced me to the Internet. I turned a tiny company with £6000 in the bank into a multi-million pound company in just two years! After leaving Jobsite I started looking at stamps and the Internet and have now traded very successfully for 6 years. I also gained a BSc (Hons) in Economics and an MA in Creative Writing at about the same time.

The business has been based on kiloware for most of this time, but I've started listing packets, single stamps, sets and new issues over the last couple of years.

In the past buying from the stamp trade has - in parts - been a bit of a gamble. Picked kiloware sold as unpicked, damaged stamps being sold as perfect etc. I'm determined to make sure that I always offer only the best of whatever I sell. Ideally your collection should be a lifetime's interest and investment. If you always buy quality stamps then when it is time to sell you will be happy with the outcome!

Everything is sent out fully insured and I ALWAYS use nice stamps to frank your parcel. These get fine CDS postmarks. I buy a lot of this postage back!

I sell all over the world - it doesn't matter where you live, you have equal access to this material.

If you live overseas and don't have Paypal I can take cash from most countries (though US/Canadian $, Euros, £ sterling and Swiss Francs are preferred) and often mint stamps at a proportion of face value. Also happy to consider exchanges.

It is easy to navigate this site - you can use the tabs or search facility. Everything is listed by SG number so if you're looking for a specific stamp simply enter the country followed by the SG number and, if I have it, it will show up straight away.

And please keep coming back - new material is added almost every day.

And don't forget my stamp blog!
